Principal’s Report

Welcome to the second last newsletter for 2022. The term has once again flown by. The Year Six children had a very successful camp last week and reports back have all been glowing as to how well the children behaved and enjoyed the challenges of the camp. Next year, we will hopefully be returning to a Term 1 camp.

Values Day

Unfortunately, we won’t be holding our traditional Water Slide Day this year as all inflatable products have been banned pending the inquiry into the tragedy that took place in Tasmania last year. However, Mr Ker has been very busy arranging activities for every day of the last week, which sound incredible and possibly even more fun. We are all looking forward to that.

Hampton Talent Show

Our annual Talent Show will be going ahead again this year. Auditions have already finished and those who have made it onto the list will be rehearsing eagerly. Parents are very welcome to attend. The talent show commences at 1:30 pm and this year we will be finishing before the final siren.

Outside School Care

Exciting news, TheirCare is coming to Hampton Park Primary School.

We are pleased to announce that TheirCare will be our new onsite Outside School Hours Care Provider in 2023. Hampton Park families can access TheirCare’s school holiday program at Noranda Primary, Enrol Now via the link below to secure your spot.

P&C President

After five years as President of the P&C, Amy Feleppa has decided that it is time to step down from the role. It has been fantastic to work with Amy for the past five years and she has certainly left big shoes to fill. We will be formally acknowledging Amy at the Year 1 to 6 Presentation Assembly on Tuesday 13 December, which all families are welcome to attend.

Assemblies

We have three end of year assemblies and parents are welcome to attend any or all of them. The first is on Tuesday 6 December for the Year Six Graduation from 8.45 am to 10:30 pm. We have several invited guests attending this assembly. The second assembly is the Book Award assembly for Years 1 to 6, Tuesday 13 December from 8:45 am to 10 am and the third is Wednesday 14 December 8:45 am, when the Kindergarten and Pre-Primary students will entertain us with some singing and every child will be presented with a book. Both Kindergarten classes are invited to attend even if it is not their regular Wednesday. We look forward to seeing as many families as possible at all three events.

Chess Tournament

Over the past few weeks, a chess tournament has been run in the school Library. The Year 3 and 4 students had a nail biter grand final, with Adrian winning and Theon runner up. The Year 5 and 6 students also had an extremely close grand final, with Bruce becoming champion and Emily D a close second. There was also a staff versus students chess match after the tournament, which the kids easily won! Finally, a huge thank you to Ms Roberts, Mrs Cunningham, Henry, and Delilah for organising the tournament.

Constable Care Excursion

After a wonderful trip to Constable Care House, C1 have done some amazing reflections from their experience there.

Students from all years who attended the excursion had a fantastic experience.

Office Art Display

Thank you PP2, for the artwork we are enjoying in the office this week. Be sure to have a look next time you visit.
