Principal’s Report
One Big Voice
If ever you get the chance to attend the One Big Voice concert, I highly recommend it. On Friday 20th August, I had the privilege of hearing our school choir, along with thousands of other children, singing at the RAC Arena. It was a wonderful concert. Two of our students had speaking roles, Delilah and Henry, who both spoke very confidently. A third student, Nevaeh, was selected to be part of the One Big Voice choir and she also had a solo role during that choir’s song. Congratulations to Nevaeh. A very big thank you must go to Ms Clare Moore for all the extra hours she spent working with the children to get them to such a high level. Thank you also to Mr Johnston, our Chaplain, for swapping his days around so that he could attend and assist Ms Moore on the floor. It was great.

Remote School Learning
Thank you to all of those people who have returned the very short Remote School Learning survey that was sent out a week ago. If you haven’t returned your form yet please do so as soon as possible to your child’s classroom teacher.
Athletics
It is that time of year again where the children participate in the faction athletics carnival. Tudor Uniforms do have terrific polo shirts for each faction. They have a good UV rating and the polo gives the added protection of the collar on the back of the neck. If you haven’t already purchased a faction shirt for your child I urge you to do so quickly. All children should be in their team colours for the carnival. We have previously advised that the faction shirt can be worn to school on the day that your child has sport, thereby making the cost of the shirt more justifiable. If you are unsure which faction your child is in please call the office on 9413 4200. Jumps and throws will be held on Wednesday 8th September and the main carnival will be held on Friday 10th September.
School Photos
Information has been sent home regarding the ordering of classroom, individual and/or family group photos. These photos will be taken on 15th and/or 16th September. All classroom photos will be taken on Wednesday 15th, except for K2 who will have theirs taken on the Thursday. Photo envelopes need to be returned to teachers as soon as possible. Please have your child dressed in the tricolour school shirt with blue bottom half for photos.
Bicycles
As the weather is warming up more children start riding their bike to school. Please ensure that your child is wearing his/her helmet when riding to and from school, as not only is this the law but it is best practise. There are two pink scooters in the bike rack which have been there all year. If you believe one of them might be your child’s, please come and collect them before they are discarded.
Kindergarten Enrolments
If you know of a child who was born between 1st July 2017 and 30th June 2018 and he/she hasn’t already been enrolled in a Kindergarten for 2022, we do still have many places available. Please check our website for enrolment details at the link below.

Year 3 Boys - Issei M, 1st place and Luke W, 5th place.
Year 4 Girls - Roxanna P, 1st place.
Year 5 Boys - Matthew L, 5th place.
Year 6 Girls - Ngakau S, 5th place.
Year 6 Boys - Drew P, 3rd place.

Staff V Students Football Game
On Wednesday 11th August, our Chaplain Mr Johnston organised a game of football at lunch time between the Year Six students and any willing and able staff members. There were lots of laughs had and lots of sweaty brows by the end of the game.

P&C
Hello Families and Friends.
We're halfway through the term and there is still so much happening before holidays begin. The P&C will have a stall at the Faction Sports Carnival, come and say hi.
We are still looking for a volunteer to fill the essential role of Secretary on our Committee. Having all positions filled is a requirement of our ability to operate a P&C association. Some of the tasks that this role undertakes include collating the agenda and taking minutes for P&C meetings, managing P&C correspondence, monitoring our social media accounts and helping organise events. If you are interested in getting involved on the P&C and would like more information about this role please contact the President, Amy Feleppa on 0415 219 095 or email us at info@hppspandc.org.au
Our Next Meeting is on Monday 30th August at 2pm in the boardroom. All school community members are welcome, we'd love to see some new faces.
For all P&C information and events within our school community, stay tuned to our Social Media for updates, like and follow us on:
