Principal’s Report
Technology Day
A very special thank you to everyone who attended Hampton Park Primary’s Technology Day. The day was a huge success with so many members of extended families here supporting the children. Thank you to the Technology Committee for all their hard work especially to the committee leaders, Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Salleo.
The students raised a total of 2,368.80, enough funds to purchase new M Bots to replace our aging stock, as well as give a donation to the RSPCA. There was a display of the Lego Robotics set up in the computer lab on the day and they looked like great fun to make and use.
John Forest Secondary College Band
We have been very spoilt with visits from the John Forest Secondary College Band and the String Quartet from the WA Symphony Orchestra. The children were very receptive to both concerts.
Kindergarten 2025
There are still places available in our Kindergarten program for 2025, if you have a child that will be four years old by the 30 June 2025 and haven’t already enrolled, please contact the front office or go to our website for application forms.
Stationary Requirements for 2025
The ‘Booklists’ or personal items lists are on our website under the Enrolment > Student Requirements tab. Please note, online orders through Campion close on Friday November 15.
St John Ambulance Incursion
Many classes have now had the opportunity to participate in some emergency training with St John’s, learning when and how to give CPR, they also were able to see inside an ambulance.
Reporting to Parents
You may already be aware as part of the Education Department of WA initiative to reduce red tape and workload pressures for teachers and school leaders, they have identified that schools can reduce their end-of-semester reporting workload.
Consequently, after much discussion amongst the teachers and the Workload Advisory Committee, Hampton Park Primary has committed to the following in this semester’s report to parents.
There will be:
- A General Comment provided by the classroom teacher
- Sub Strand levels given in English and Mathematics
- An overall achievement grade in all other learning areas
- Effort grades for each Learning Area
- Attitude, Behaviour and Effort reported on
- Personal and Social Learning
If your child is to receive either a D or an E grade in any particular Learning Area, you will be notified by the classroom teacher two weeks prior and given the opportunity to discuss this with the appropriate teacher.
This is a sample of the notification that parents would receive.
Dear ___________________,

Zero Waste Challenge
A big thank you to all the students who actively participated in the Zero Waste Lunchbox challenge. It was great to see all the healthy lunchboxes and very little throw away packaging around the school. Even though the challenge has finished, please continue to make good choices when helping your child pack their lunchbox - not only will it save you money but save the planet at the same time.
Here are some of our lucky winners who got to select one of our fabulous prizes.

St John Ambulance Incursion
On Tuesday the 22nd of October, the Clusters took part in a fun and interactive incursion run by St John Ambulance. We learnt how to identify an emergency, check for danger and call emergency services. We all got to practice checking for unconsciousness with our partner. It turns out that shoulders are ticklish! Finally, we all got to explore the inside of an ambulance. We even got to see the lights and hear the deafening blast of the sirens.
Thank you to St John Ambulance for this opportunity to learn in such a fun way.

Second Hand Uniforms
HELP US PLEASE... WE NEED MORE UNIFORMS!
Our second-hand uniform shop needs more donations to help keep this affordable service going. As we approach the end of the year this is when our kids have grown out of their clothes and you need to buy more, so please think of donating them to our cause. If we can secure more uniforms and sizes, then we can supply more to our community and help you all save more money.
Donations can be dropped off to the office or at the second-hand uniform shop during open hours. Thank you!
