Principal’s Report
Faction Carnival
Thank you to everyone that helped make last Friday’s Faction Athletics Carnival such a great success. It is so joyful to watch the pre-kindy children participating in a race as well as all the other year levels. The adult races are always good fun and I think it is wonderful that we have that in our program.
P&C
Many thanks to the dedication of the Parents and Citizen’s, (P & C) group for organising weeks in advance the boxed lunches from Crispy Café and organising the Fish n Chip shop to be open. As well as arranging for Lady Bee’s ice-cream van to be on site. The sausages for the sausage sizzle were donated and that meant applying back in February for the donated sausages. There is so much organisation behind the scenes to make a success on the day. The raffle prizes were immense and again to have prizes for six different raffles, requires hours and hours of time asking for donations. The additional work that this group does in advance of an event is huge. Thank you to all.
Cake Stall
Another important thank you, goes to the school community that took up the challenge of donating food or drinks for the cake stall. There were so many donations we had to find more tables for them to go on. There is a photo of the stall in the P & C’s report. It truly looked amazing on the day. Thank you to everyone. Also, a thank you for your attendance at the carnival. It is terrific to see such support.
Assembly
This week we have Room 2’s assembly at the normal assembly time, and then next weeks assembly is the finals of the Public Speaking Competition. Parents and family are very welcome to attend both.
Kindy 2025
Kindergarten 2025 still has places available. If you know of anyone who’s child will turn four by June 30 next year, who hasn’t enrolled their child yet, please advise them that we are still taking enrolments.
Therapy Sessions at School
Currently we have 28 different therapy sessions per week being conducted at school. We have four locations that we can use but not all are available every day as we have staff using the locations as well for their work. While we are happy to accommodate where we can, please be mindful that we may have to say no to some requests.

Faction Carnival
We got lucky with the weather and managed to complete our Faction Carnival over two action packed days.
Wednesday saw the "Champion Athlete" events such as jumps, throws and middle distance events completed, competed, run and won in some very close events. HUGE THANKS to the team of parents who assisted with recording results, events are run efficiently only with such wonderful parent help. Thanks to Jules, Claude, Connie, Jaquie, Vicky and Leslie for your help.
Friday began under leaden sky's and a bit of wind, but blowing in a favourable direction for the running events. Stiff competition was displayed in all the age races and also great resilience and sportsmanship.
The highlight of the day, as always, was the Parents v Teachers v Captains Pass Ball event. After a two year reign as champions, the parents team was forced to hand over the "Invisible Trophy" and bragging rights to the teacher's team, did some one say the day was for the kids!!
After all the cheering, jumping, running, throwing, catching and passing Forrest faction was crowned Champion Faction with Gairdner winning the Spirit Shield.

P&C
WOW! We were blown away with the support and donations for our sports carnival stall last Friday. The community spirit this year was next level. I've been doing this for many years, and the cake stall donations were beyond generous. Parents also donated all our drinks and bread rolls, you all outdid yourselves. Big congratulations to the six lucky raffle winners this year, we hope you enjoyed the goodies!
Thanks to all your amazing support, we raised $2500! This is truly an amazing total when everything we sold was from 50c - $3.00! Pulling off an event like this is hard work and takes a lot of preparation beforehand. I would like to give a special thanks to my team who put in the hard yards leading up to the day. Thank you for the time and dedication you continue to give our school.
Kind regards,
Keisha Lavigne

Father’s Day Stall
Our annual Father’s Day Stall was also a great success this year. We sold out on the first day and had to dig deep that night to restock tables for the students. We will aim to have even more stock next year. Our total funds raised were $730! This is a great amount and adds to our tally for the ‘Bike Rack Reno’. Thank you for the ongoing support.
Scholastic Book Club
You are supporting our school when you buy from Book Club! 15% of every purchase made goes back to our school in reward points, so we can buy valuable educational resources that benefit the students.
REMINDER: Issue 6 orders are due tomorrow, thank you.
Canteen
The canteen is open on Tuesdays & Wednesdays!
All ordering is done through Spriggy Schools Online or via the App, this is the only way you can order food from the canteen. We have fresh made items available to order for recess and lunch, full menu is online with a full visual description.
