Principal’s Report
The countdown is certainly on now! If you ask Mr Lee, he will probably be able to tell you how many sirens to go until the 3 pm siren on Thursday 14 December, the last day of school for students in 2023. At the time of writing this newsletter there are only 29 sleeps until Christmas Day.
Swimming Lessons and Carnival
A special thank you goes to Mr Lee for his effective organisation of our swimming lessons and swimming carnival, both were very successful and fully supported.
Past and Present Student Success
We love to hear about our past and present students doing well in school or the community. If your child has done something amazing, we would love to hear about it. See the Hampton Park Super Stars section of this newsletter for details about our latest Super Star.
2024 School Year
The students return next year on Wednesday 31 January. Class lists will be made public on Monday 29 January via the website and placed on the windows of C5 by 3pm. For privacy reasons only surname initials will be used on lists.
Lost Property
Lost Property is accumulating outside the staffroom. There are four lovely beach towels, a couple of pairs of bathers, many drink bottles, jackets, and a couple of lovely lunchboxes, just to mention a few items. Please have a look through it if your child is missing something.
Talent Show
The Hampton’s Got Talent show will be held again this year on Thursday 14 December, 1:15 – 2:50 pm in the undercover area. Parents are very welcome to attend. Thank you to Ms Moore for her organisation of this and for giving up her recess and lunch times for auditions. It is greatly appreciated.
Values Week
Values week is Week Ten this year. Children will take part in rotation activities on Monday, the Cuddly Animal Farm on Wednesday and then we have large inflatables on Thursday morning. Thank you to Mr Ker for organising this week of fun.
P&C Disco
I hope to see you all at the Glow Disco on Friday night, as the P&C farewell the students for another year.
Library News
Borrowed Books
It is now the end of borrowing for all students and everyone needs to return all their books to the library before the end of term. Please remind your child/ren to return any outstanding books as soon as possible.
Chess Tournament
We had our staff versus students chess tournament on Wednesday 22 November, with the students beating the teachers 5 to 4. Ms Webb versing Adrian and Mr Radovic versing Teoh resulted in a draw.
Thank you to Ms Webb, Mr Ker, Mr Radovic, Mr Reynolds, and Miss Z who came in to verse the students: Tai, Zeyu, Jensen, Aydan, Teoh and Sofia. I came off second best to Sofia. Well done to all who played! We look forward to doing it all again next year!
A big thank you to Mrs Cunningham for promoting the chess tournament at assembly and with the staff. This couldn’t have worked without her support.

Library Officer
Hampton Park Super Stars
Last week, one of our past students, Shania Mwaka, received the Endeavour Award, for her dedication to her studies and being a positive role model to others at Swan Christian College. Congratulations to Shania!
Planning for the 2024 School Year
Now is the ideal time to notify us if you are moving home or school. If your child/children won’t be returning to Hampton Park Primary School next year, please advise us via email at hamptonpark.ps@education.wa.edu.au
P&C
Our Glow Disco is only two days away, we are so excited for this one. We hope you are able to come along an enjoy the fun with your family. Entry is free for all our school community, this Friday 1 Dec, 6 to 8 pm in the school quadrangle. The car park will be open for use and access to the disco will be via the canteen/bike rack gate only. Please remember all children must be supervised by a grown up. (no dropping off and leaving them).
Every student that attends will receive a free party glow bag and a glow stick. We encourage you all to come dressed in your best glow worthy outfit, anything that reflects UV light is a must for the dance floor (white, neon, sequin). We also have free activities throughout the disco including photobooth, glow pong, drawing station, temporary tattoos and a chill zone.
You will be able to purchase drinks, ice creams, lollies, glow sticks, party glasses and raffle tickets on the night. (we take eftpos and cash) If you made a Pizza Pre-order you can pick this up from the canteen on your way in to the disco. Thank you, for the ongoing support throughout the year. We look forward to celebrating 2023 with you all!
Canteen
Our canteen volunteers have been working really hard during this heat wave, we thank them so much for their dedication. Stock is very limited and also discounted to clear out before the end of term. The last week of school the canteen will close, this is to give our volunteers the opportunity to defrost the freezers and do a big clean before we close up for several weeks. We will have Birthday Buckets available to order until the end of term, so if your child is having a birthday soon, maybe treat them and their class to icy poles. Please order via Spriggy Schools. Download the app or go to www.spriggyschools.com.au
