Principal’s Report
On October 1, 1908, Henry Ford’s Model T went on sale for the first time. It was considered to be a “universal car” designed for the masses. It went on to change the landscape of transportation worldwide. You never know who the next inventor will be, who will change the world. It may be a student from Hampton Park Primary, you never know! As our motto says, “Aim high”.
Welcome back to Term Four, it has already begun in a very busy fashion.
P&C Colour Fun Run
The P&C Colour Fun Run is this Friday at 2:15 pm. Everyone is welcome to come down and get involved in the fun. It is not too late to support with fundraising.
Maths and Science Day
Friday 27 October is Maths and Science Day. Mrs Falco and Mr Rakimov have arranged some very entertaining guest for us, plus lots of rotational activities as well.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons take place in Weeks 5 and 6. The department is always looking for extra swimming teachers. If you know someone over the age of 18 who has their Bronze in swimming and would like to make some extra money over the summer holidays, please direct them to either call 94026412 or email vacswim@education.wa.edu.au for more information.
Halloween
I don’t support Halloween generally, but I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of these. Or maybe I have been reading too many Harry Potter books lately.
Why do ghosts go on diets? To keep their ghoulish figures!
Why did the ghost go to the bar? For the boos.
What does a ghost mom tell her kids when they get in the car? Fasten your sheet-belts!
Why don’t mummies take time off? They’re afraid to unwind.
How do monsters know their future? They read the horror-scopes.
What’s it like to be kissed by a vampire? It’s a pain in the neck.
Why did Dracula take cold medicine? Because he was coffin too much.
Why do skeletons have low self-esteem? They have no body to love.
Where does a skeleton go for a fun night? Anywhere, as long as it is a hip joint.
Why can’t skeletons play church music? Because they have no organs.

Library News
Welcome back for our last term in the library this year. Just a reminder that all books are due back and I hope that all the books that were borrowed were enjoyed and read over and over during the break.
Library Books
Please return all books borrowed for the holiday period. There are still a large number of books that haven’t been returned. Please be aware that the books are for all students and if they are borrowed and returned when due everyone has a chance to read them.
Library Monitor Profile
Thanisha H
When Thanisha first commenced as a library monitor, she was a shy young lady. Since then, I have seen Thanisha become very confident in her role. She shows great initiative in asking what needs doing and is very competent when carrying out these tasks. Thanisha has learned and helped with the circulation desk, covering books, helping with displays and other tasks that have been required of her.
Chess Tournament
Thanks to Mrs Cunningham’s support, we have been having a chess tournament in the library between students in Year 3 and 4. Tai T was the champion for Term 3.
This term we have the Year 5 and 6 students competing to see who will be the chess champion! Good luck to all competitors!
Halloween
The library monitors have been using their skills to put up a display for Halloween so if you get a chance come and have a look and see their marvellous work.
Maths and Science
There are maths and science books out on display.
Mrs O’Neill’s Quiz
Mrs O’Neill has a quiz going each week for students to enter in which they will receive a prize if they win. It is a fun quiz and I know I have lots of fun working out the answers as much as the students.

Tudor Uniforms
Our uniform supplier has released the 2024 price list and catalogue. These prices will be effective from 31 October 2023.
Planning for the 2024 School Year
Now is the ideal time to notify us if you are moving home or school. If your child/children won’t be returning to Hampton Park Primary School next year, please advise us via email at hamptonpark.ps@education.wa.edu.au
